The Product House introduces the Therapist Learning Community initiative to support spas amid COVID-19 difficulties

Leading companies in the spa and wellness industry in the Middle East have come together to support the community in the region. The Product House has developed a special program for therapists to gain online training and accreditation during this difficult time. Therapists from all spas in the region will have the opportunity to secure a place on an online training course where they can gain an internationally recognized qualification. This offer is free to support staff whose lives have been so severely affected.

As a collective, the Therapist Learning Community (TLC) course is offering spas the opportunity to reward one of their
therapists with a place on a BABTAC Training School course at The Product House. This four-day course, which starts on April 19, will be delivered online via audio conferencing to allow therapists and staff to continue practicing social distancing and only requires in-person attendance at the final exam at The Product House training facility. We have expanded this offering not only to our own spa partners, but to all spas at GCC in hopes that the entire community will benefit. Therapists can join the course online, or spa managers can nominate a member of their team who they feel deserves to attend.

Although it will take some time, energy and resources to get through this difficult time, we are committed to taking some small steps of positivity and kindness to give back to the wonderful spa and wellness community in this region. In that spirit, we are offering a small lifeline to the therapists at each spa, and we hope that these small steps will provide a glimmer of hope and enable the community to stand up and be strong.”

In these exceptional circumstances, BABTAC is sponsoring the accreditation of the awards by reducing the cost of certification. This initiative, which involves and is sponsored by some of the leading companies in the spa industry in the Middle East, has quickly developed into a multi-faceted project. The course is also sponsored by our partner Gharieni as a gesture of thanks to the industry. A video highlighting the course will also be filmed in the new Gharieni showroom at the Park Hyatt Dubai.
