[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][us_separator size=”custom” height=”15px”][vc_column_text]In February, “Verified – The Forbes Travel Guide Luxury Summit” took place at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. Over 750 luminaries from the leading hotels, spas and restaurants were invited to celebrate their achievements in their respective fields and were rewarded with prestigious awards. Among those in attendance were executives from Four Seasons, Peninsula Hotels, Rosewood, Shangri La, The Pierre and many, many more. Gharieni Group was selected as the official brand representative for spa/wellness equipment and set up a wellness studio where attendees could discover new technologies. It was the first time FTG offered such an experience and many enjoyed mini-treatments on the Spa.Wave, MLX Quartz and MO1, including FTG CEO Filip Boyen, who praised Gharieni Group during one of his presentations to the entire gathering. This was followed by a gala dinner hosted by actress Brooke Shields and featuring the famous opera tenor Vittorio Grigolo. The event concluded with a delicious lunch served by Jean Georges. Many conversations were held and new friendships were made. Peninsula Hotels was the first hotel in its membership to be recognized as the world’s first five-star hotel company. The Forbes Travel Guide evaluates hotels in 76 countries in North and South America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa and the Middle East. Newly added destinations for 2019 include Anguilla, Bahrain, Belize, Danang, Doha, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hoi An, Istanbul, Oman, Perth, the Swiss Alps, Tel Aviv and Uruguay. That’s because of the dozens of inspectors around the world who quietly enter each hotel for a two-night stay and go through an exhaustive checklist of details, grading and evaluating them. Sometimes they come back six months later or send another group with different needs to a hotel to mark improvements or deteriorations.
